Asistantship Opportunity for Graduate Violinists
Western Illinois University, dedicated to diversity and the fine arts, has designated one Graduate Assistantship for an American or international violin student. This assistantship is part of a two-year Master of Music degree program in instrumental performance. The winning candidate will perform in the Julstrom String Quartet. The other members of the quartet are faculty members at Western Illinois University: Dr. Julieta Mihai, violin, Dr. István Szabó, viola, and Dr. Moisés Molina, cello. In addition, the student will perform duties as assigned by Dr. Richard Hughey, WIU Orchestra conductor.
The assistantship carries with it a FULL TUITION WAIVER and a monthly stipend.
Tuition waiver (in-state): $4272/year
(out-of-state): $8544/year
2/3 Stipend ($587/month): $4696

All candidates will need the following to apply:
If the candidate is from the United States, he/she must hold a Bachelor of Music or a Bachelor of Arts in Music from an accredited American institution. If an international candidate, he/she must hold a degree which is comparable to a recognized U.S. bachelor’s degree in music.

2. A live audition or a video of the candidate performing two contrasting works, one the first movement of a concerto. DVD is acceptable.

ILSP Alumni Fund Scholarships
The ILSP is proud to announce the Alumni Fund Scholarship program. The ILSP Alumni Fund offers 5 full tuition scholarships to newly admitted LLM students who display rigorous academic dedication to the advancement of issues in international law.
Scholarship applications must be submitted with a completed LLM application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The ILSP can only grant these scholarships to our LLM students who are eligible to receive an I-20 from the university and who maintain legal immigration status as an F-1 visa holder.
