In academic year 2008/09, 7,013 students from Colombia were studying in the United States (up 5.3% from the previous year). Colombia is the nineteenth-leading place of origin for international students in the United States.

Academic Level: Colombian students study in close to equal numbers at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 2008/09, their breakdown was as follows:
